Manik Botanik is owner and operated by Taylor Hovan.

It all started with a dream. Over seven years ago while travelling to St.Johns Newfoundland, about to embark on a completely different life journey, an epiphany hit her. Falling out of the sky and into her mind, came the name Manik Botanik. Then dreams began, dreams of owning a business.

Growing up in the prairies of Alberta, feeling very stuck and uninspired she knew a change needed to be made. Instead of following through with a move to the maritimes, a new opportunity presented itself instead. Fate was calling, it was time to move out to the magical mountains, located in Banff, AB, Canada.

Taylor brings her fierce passion for plants and flowers and their botanical properties from her florist and gardener background. She pairs her creativity with her strive for excellence. She is a perfectionist at heart.

Taylor is extremely driven to keep her close connection to nature through foraging, hiking, and scrambling. Spending as much time as possible in the untamed wild of Alberta and British Columbia. She believes in capturing these moments of natural beauty and expressing them through creations of therapeutic remedy.
